Nimitz Middle School  » For Parents
For Parents
Parents and schools need to work together for the betterment of the students. Parents play an important role in providing support and building the confidence of their children. Parents should check some of the tips or activities they can use to develop their children’s confidence and improve their school experience.

From the Prinipal,

Chester W. Nimitz Middle School strives to create an environment in which students will develop necessary life skills to cope with everyday problems and situations.  We will focus on these three areas to work towards our mission:

bullet

Reading comprehension skills across the curriculum

bullet

math problem solving skills across the curriculum

bullet

Demonstrate appropriate and responsible behavior throughout the students’ daily life

Admiral Chester W Nimitz was in attendance at the dedication of our school and shared these words:
“The future safety and well-being of our beloved Country will be in the hands of the young people who are now passing through the Nation’s schools like Nimitz Junior High…The rest is up to you!”

Well-spoken Admiral Nimitz!  Those same words hold true today.  Education is a lifelong process and one that is the commitment of the staff of Nimitz to the students today.

The Agenda Book provides an organizational tool to list assignments and tests for each class. The Character Education portion will be the curriculum used during Homebase each week.  Take time to read and discuss with your student.

Welcome to Chester W Nimitz Middle School.  The staff and I have planned a year full of learning.  We wish you a very successful year.
